Case Study: Mltshp is a non-profit social media platform that was rescued by its own community after the original purveyors (mlkshk) hit a wall of unforeseen and slightly scammy legal battles.
Mltshp is entirely supported by member donations. It does not have ANY “algorithmic decision-making,” does not have any advertising, does not have Terms of Service, and is fully owned by a non-profit. Mltshp’s platform rules of engagement are simple: “Talk Shit. Get Kicked.”
This logo design was actually voted for and approved by the user-base. Afterwards, I helped refresh the website's design, collaborating with a very impressive and motivated team of developers and advisors. I've continued to design assets for the site and currently serve on mltshp's steering committee.
