Case Study: Makerbase, a site from ThinkUp Founders Gina Trapani and Anil Dash billed as the IMDb of web design. Makerbase focused on those that create the sites and tools that make the web what it is. Makerbase was a powerful tool for opening up opportunity in the industry, because it showed the network and connections between people, and offered those who aren't in the industry a glimpse into who made things across the web and a chance to gain access to the nuts and bolts of the industry.

The aim was to design a Brand Identity and environment that represented the many voices that go into building and designing the internet. Devising a logo and base design that could incorporate a wide selection of colors in a for ID helped to set an ever increasing base of the abilities of the site's users.
